XXXX Brings Queensland Grit to Enemy Ground with ‘Home Soil’ Boots

As the Maroons gear up for Game two in Perth, XXXX is proud to announce a soil-full collaboration with fellow QRL sponsor, PUMA. As part of XXXX’s ongoing commitment to celebrating hometown pride, XXXX have developed prototype “home soil” boots for Maroons legend Cam Munster, containing the actual soil from his home ground in Rockhampton.

This initiative involves a bespoke modification of Munster’s existing PUMA boots, where soil from his home postcode of Rockhampton 4701 has been incorporated into a one-of-a-kind “insoil”. With every step onto the Origin field in Perth and Sydney, Munster will carry a tangible piece of his community, symbolising the enduring connection between a player’s performance and their local roots.

XXXX says the boots represent a fusion of innovation and loyalty to community.

Karen Sterling-Levis, Brand Director – Core Beer said, “At XXXX, we are dedicated to honouring the deep ties our players have with their hometowns, who have supported them to get where they are today. This project is a testament to our belief that excellence on the field is rooted in the support and spirit of our communities.”

For Cam Munster (4701), the boots are a deeply personal reminder of where he comes from, “Playing interstate is always a challenge, but these boots remind me that no matter where I am, a part of home is always with me. It’s a powerful symbol of our community’s support and the pride we share in our roots. When you’re out there wearing your state colours, it already means a lot—but having something physical that connects you to home? That’s next level.”

Neysa Goh, Puma Oceania – Director Marketing & Sports Licensing, “Our partnership with XXXX in creating the ‘Home Soil’ boots perfectly embodies our commitment to merging cutting-edge design with the personal stories of our athletes. We’re proud to help craft boots that not only perform at the highest level but also carry a profound connection to home.”

After Cam Munster wears the Home Soil boots during Origin, fans will have the chance to see them up close. Post-match the boots will return home to 4701, proudly hosted at The Brunswick Hotel in Rockhampton City where punters can drop in for a cold one and experience this unique piece of footy history for themselves.
