A triumphant return to the home of Tooheys: The Trojan Stag back in NSW after Blues' Origin glory

The ultimate act of interstate defiance has officially concluded with a victory lap on home soil. Following a thrilling Origin decider in Brisbane, the massive four-metre-tall wooden ‘Trojan Stag’ has returned victorious to the Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe, the home of the beer of the Westpac NSW Blues.
The Lidcombe brewery is buzzing with celebration today as Tooheys brewers bear witness to the triumphant Trojan Stag parading through the gates alongside both the Men’s and Women’s official Origin Shields. To the victorious jingle of the Tooheys Marching Band, the procession was led home by Tooheys Brewery Director Christopher Sproats, Blues Men and Women’s Captains, Isaah Yeo and Isabelle Kelly, alongside Laurie Daley, then emerged from the Stag with the hard-earned.
Just days ago, the monument served a very different purpose. True Blue legend Aaron Woods helped Tooheys ceremoniously ride the unwelcome Trojan Stag directly into the heart of Queensland territory. Queenslanders had front-row seats to the ultimate act of friendly psychological warfare as the Stag paraded through Brisbane CBD hotspots, rolling past the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, over the Story Bridge, past the Brisbane Sign, and right past the rival XXXX brewery.
Adorned with a giant custom Blues scarf, the Stag ultimately parked itself at the Caxton Street precinct and Suncorp Stadium, serving up fresh schooners of Tooheys directly from its built-in taps and triggering its confetti-releasing mechanism to rally travelling NSW fans in enemy territory.
Now, the battle is won, the confetti has settled, and the Stag is back where it belongs.
