On Tuesday May 20, Lion hosted its annual trans-Tasman Supplier Recognition Awards, which recognises the performance of 2024 and provides an opportunity to gather Lion’s top suppliers to celebrate our strong and enduring partnerships.
Awards were presented in the following categories: Packaging, Ingredients, Logistics, Engineering/Site Services, Technology, Diversity, and Sustainability with each award recognizing the leading supplier in its respective category. The awards criteria are based on exceptional performance in terms of delivery performance, quality, customer service and feedback.
At the event, long-term partner of Lion BevChain dominated results, taking home two of the available eight trophies including the title of Supplier of the Year – presented to them by Lion Group CEO, Sam Fischer.
Lion Chief Procurement Officer Jonathon Llewellyn said, “We wish to congratulate not only the BevChain team, but all finalists and winners of awards for their ongoing commitment, dedication and hard work they put into our partnerships.”

In addition to the top accolade, BevChain also received the award for Logistics.
